Join EAC at a Shellfish Aquaculture Best Management Practices Stakeholder Meeting:

The California Fish and Game Commission (Commission) and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (Department) invite interested stakeholders to provide feedback on a proposed regulation regarding shellfish aquaculture best management practices (BMPs). Previous meetings, held in Tomales Bay and Santa Barbara, focused on determining the necessary criteria to be considered in an aquaculture lease BMP plan to promote greater stewardship of the public trust resource. This meeting will discuss the proposed requirements for BMPs within aquaculture lease BMP plans, which will be considered for future rulemaking by the Commission.
