THE 16th ANNUAL & 1st VIRTUAL OCEAN DAY
Ocean Day started in 2005 with a group of beach-goers, environmentalists, and ocean advocates knocking on every door in the California Capitol to talk about protecting the ocean. Every year, we have teamed-up with more and more ocean-loving folks to share information on opportunities and challenges concerning our beloved marine environments.
This year, we have planned a virtual Ocean Day, where participants will have the opportunity to meet with their state legislators, hear from experts on current issues concerning our oceans, and celebrate California’s marine life.
EAC participates in this annual event to advocate for our coast and ocean. This year, our program team and interns will head to Sacramento (virtually) for this annual event.
Ocean Day always comes together thanks to lots of teamwork.
Azul, Environment California, Surfrider, The Monterey Bay Aquarium, COARE, and Scripps Institution of Oceanography are all working together this year.
