Advocate: Protect The Places You Love
How EAC brings people, policy, and science together for change
The wild open spaces of coastal Marin County remain today thanks to community advocacy to safeguard the area from development plans.
If it wasn’t for local environmental advocates, places like Bolinas Lagoon, Tomales Bay, Estero Americano, Tomales Dunes, Drakes Estero, and Duxbury Reef would be very different places today.
Since 1971, the Environmental Action Committee of West Marin (EAC) has brought people, policy, and science together to save vital ecosystems, defend environmental laws, demand accountability from leaders, find solutions to problems, and mobilize community action around complex issues.
Come into the newest environmental educational exhibit to learn the conservation and environmental stories about some of your favorite places in coastal Marin County and the different ways people can advocate for the places they love.
