Family and Friends Limantour Beach Cleanup March 12, 2023
10:00-12:30 pm
Beach cleanups are a great way to protect marine life from ocean pollution. Plastic waste and other trash find their way to the ocean through watershed runoff, wind transport, beach recreation, ocean vessels and industry. Directly or indirectly, we all contribute to ocean pollution! Cleaning up trash from the beach is a great way to give back to our life-sustaining oceans, and reminds us about the importance of using less plastic.
Hannah Price agrees that beach cleanups are a great way for us to help heal the Earth, and asked EAC to partner with her to lead a beach cleanup at Limantour Beach for her mitzvah project on March 16, 2023, from 12:30-2:30 pm. Sign up below to participate in this effort to protect marine life including marine mammals, fish, invertebrates, and seabirds, and humans, too!
Meet at the main parking lot for Limantour Beach at 12:30pm.
After you sign in at the event, you'll be asked to sign a Liability Waiver and Photo Release for EAC.
You will be provided with supplies, including collection bag, or bucket, and gloves if requested.
Near the end of the event, bring all your collected material together as a group to record volume estimates and debris counts.
We'll be in touch again to confirm details before the event.
Each adult should fill in a separate sign-up form. An adult may include their child(ren) on one form.
Thank you for participating and helping to keep our beach and ocean clean!
