EAC will be participating in a two-day webinar to support the Ocean Protection Council (OPC)’s implementation of the California Ocean Litter Prevention Strategy. This event is being co-hosted by the OPC and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Marine Debris Program.
Topics to be addressed during the webinar include:
Plastic pollution and COVID-19, a Public Health Perspective;
A California Perspective on Plastic Pollution and Waste Management; and
Equity and Zero Waste.
The webinar will also include updates from state and Federal agencies and opportunities for discussion on the progress of implementing the six goals in the Strategy.
