Speaker Series: Remembering Huey

Join California Natural Resources Agency Secretary Crowfoot on September 16 for a special Secretary Speaker Series as we celebrate the extraordinary life and accomplishments of Huey Johnson, Secretary for the Resources Agency from 1978-1982.

Appointed by Governor Jerry Brown, Huey brought fiery passion and much-needed humor to Sacramento, delivering major conservation wins across the state. Huey’s dedication to environmental conservation spanned over his entire life which included founding the Trust for Public Land in 1972 to the Resource Renewal Institute in 1982. We look forward to sharing colorful stories and abiding memories with special guests to reflect on Huey Johnson’s life and contribution to California and environmental conservation.
