Today, me and Reese went to Hog Island Oyster Company. What we learned was that they have been using alternative straws for four years!! Garrett brought us on a tour around where they grew, counted, and washed the oysters. We also got his business card and we got Hog Island hats! And when I got home, I found a new National Geographic in our PO Box, all about how plastics can be bad! I also found a page that made me cry, it was so sad. Trying to ban plastic straws in Point Reyes makes me feel really great.
